Sapa Tour Packages from India 2026/2027

Every Vietnam Sapa tour package here pairs Muong Hoa rice terraces and hill villages with Hanoi & Halong Bay. Private trips, 6–15 days, from ₹67,260.

A Sapa tour package from India costs ₹67,000 to ₹1,51,000 per person for the land experience, depending on how many days the trip runs and the hotel category. Sapa has no airport of its own, so every Sapa tour Vietnam itinerary begins with a flight to Hanoi and continues by road or overnight train, which is why the mountains are almost always paired with Halong Bay on the same trip: the terraced valleys of Muong Hoa, the Black H’mong village of Cat Cat, and the Fansipan cable car on one side, the limestone bay on the other. Browse our top-rated Sapa Vietnam tour package options below to plan your perfect holiday.

How Much Does a Sapa Tour Package from India Cost?

A Sapa tour package costs ₹67,000 to ₹1,51,000 per person for 6 to 15 days of land service, plus return flights from India at roughly ₹20,000 to ₹45,000 in economy. Where a trip lands within that range depends mostly on how many days it runs, since Sapa is nearly always part of a longer northern or country-wide route rather than a trip on its own.
  • What a Sapa tour package includes: 4-star hotels, the Hanoi to Sapa transfer by road or overnight train, private air-conditioned transfers, an English-speaking guide, entry tickets for scheduled sightseeing including the Fansipan cable car, a Halong Bay cruise, daily breakfast with selected lunches and dinners, and bottled water on tour days.
  • What it excludes: international flights from India, domestic flights within Vietnam, the e-visa fee, meals outside the itinerary, single supplements, additional tips and personal expenses, and bank transfer fees.
The table below shows what a Vietnam Sapa tour package costs by travel style, which depends mostly on hotel class and on how many regions the itinerary covers beyond the north.
Travel Style Sapa Tour Package Cost (Per Person) Accommodation & Services
Budget / Backpacking ₹50,000 – ₹67,000 3-star hotels, shared group sightseeing, sleeper bus to Sapa
Mid-Range / Comfort ₹67,000 – ₹1,51,000 4-star hotels, limousine van or overnight train, Fansipan cable car, Halong Bay cruise
Premium / Luxury ₹1,51,000+ 5-star hotels, premium train cabin, luxury cruise cabin, private dining
Land-only, excluding international flights, quoted per person on twin-sharing. The Mid-Range row is the live price range for Vietnamtour.in Sapa itineraries; the other 2 are typical market levels for the same routes. Every price is quoted per person on twin-sharing, and the per-person rate falls as the group grows. Because Sapa sits 320 km from Hanoi, the mountain leg is a real cost rather than an add-on, so check that any quote covers the transfer both ways rather than leaving it for you. See our guide to Vietnam trip cost from India for a complete budget breakdown.

How to Reach Sapa from India

Sapa has no airport, so every trip starts with a flight to Hanoi and continues overland or by overnight train. Hanoi has non-stop flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Kolkata, with flight times from about 2 hours 45 minutes out of Kolkata to around 4 hours 45 minutes from Bangalore.
From Hanoi to Sapa Travel time
Limousine van or private car via the Noi Bai – Lao Cai Expressway About 5 to 6 hours, hotel to hotel
Overnight train to Lao Cai, then by road About 8 hours on the train, plus about 1 hour to Sapa town
Sapa sits roughly 320 km northwest of Hanoi, and Lao Cai railway station is a further 35 km from the town itself, which is why the train always ends with a road transfer. Both options are built into a Sapa tour Vietnam package rather than left for travellers to arrange, and the choice usually comes down to whether you would rather spend the hours awake on the expressway or asleep on the train. Our city guides cover the flights into Hanoi in detail, including Vietnam tours from Delhi, Vietnam tour packages from Mumbai, Vietnam tour packages from Kolkata, Vietnam tour packages from Bangalore, Vietnam tour packages from Hyderabad, and Vietnam tour packages from Ahmedabad. The Vietnam e-visa for Indian travellers guide covers the paperwork, and our step-by-step guide on how to go to Vietnam from India covers every route.

Best Time to Visit Sapa

The best time to visit Sapa is mid-September to mid-October, when the rice terraces turn gold before the harvest, and March to May, when the valleys are green and the trails are dry. Sapa grows a single rice crop each year, so the golden window lasts roughly 3 to 4 weeks and peaks in late September. The golden season falls across Dussehra and Diwali, which makes October the busiest month for travellers from India and the one to book earliest, with daytime temperatures of 14 to 22°C. March to May brings the water-pouring season instead, when the flooded terraces mirror the sky and the trekking paths are at their driest. June to August is the greenest the valleys get, though rain is frequent and trekking paths can be slippery. December to February turns cold and misty, which suits travellers who want quieter trails and lower rates more than those hoping for long views. Sapa's seasons run differently from the rest of the country, so travellers combining the north with Da Nang or Phu Quoc should check our guide to the best time to visit Vietnam before fixing dates.

Top Things to Do on a Sapa Tour Package

Sapa packs its highlights into a small area, so 2 full days are enough to see the valley from the top of Fansipan, walk down to a village, and drive out to a mountain pass. The 4 below appear in almost every Sapa Vietnam tour package.

Ride the Fansipan Cable Car

The cable car climbs 6,292 metres over Muong Hoa Valley to Fansipan, the Roof of Indochina at 3,143 metres, holding Guinness records for the longest three-rope system and the greatest height difference between stations. The ride takes about 15 to 20 minutes and lifts you from rice fields through forest into open sky.

Walk Down to Cat Cat Village

Cat Cat is the Black H'mong village in the valley below Sapa town, reached on foot down a stone path past a waterfall and a French-built hydroelectric station. It is the easiest village visit in Sapa and works for families and travellers who would rather not trek a full day.

See the Muong Hoa Valley Terraces

Muong Hoa is where the terraces drop away in layers below the town, and the view changes completely with the season: gold in late September, mirrored water in spring, and deep green through the summer.

Drive the O Quy Ho Pass

The pass climbs out of Sapa towards Heaven Gate, with Silver Waterfall on the way and the Hoang Lien mountains opening out on either side. It is a short drive rather than a trek, which makes it the view most groups can reach regardless of fitness. Sapa rewards anyone with a spare day, and our Sapa travel guide covers the markets, the longer treks, and the villages beyond Cat Cat that do not fit into a standard itinerary.

Popular Sapa Tour Package Itineraries

2 nights in Sapa is the standard, and it covers Cat Cat, the Fansipan cable car, and a half-day in the valley without rushing. Because the mountains sit 5 to 6 hours from Hanoi, every Vietnam Sapa tour package travels with Hanoi and Halong Bay on the same trip, and longer routes carry on to the central coast or the south from there. Travellers who want beach days to finish can pair the north with one of our Phu Quoc tour packages.

6 to 7 Day Northern Vietnam Trips

The shortest Sapa tour package runs Hanoi, Sapa, and Halong Bay over 6 days from ₹67,260 per person, with no domestic flight at all since everything moves by road and water. The 7-day version adds Ninh Binh and its river scenery from ₹74,765 per person. Both suit travellers who want the north properly rather than a wider circuit at speed. Compare lengths in our 6-day Vietnam tours and 7-day Vietnam tours.

Sapa with the Central Coast

From 8 days, the itinerary adds Da Nang and Hoi An to the northern loop, from ₹80,845 per person with a single domestic flight. The 10-day version brings in Ninh Binh as well, from ₹95,285 per person, and gives the main stops 2 nights each. See the options in our 8-day Vietnam tours and 10-day Vietnam tours.

Sapa for Honeymoon or Family

Couple routes through the north start from ₹67,260 per person, and the same 6-day shape is available as a family trip at the same price, with the pace adjusted and connecting rooms arranged at booking. Longer romantic routes reach 11 days from ₹1,12,385 per person, pairing the terraces with the lantern streets of Hoi An; compare them with our 11 day Vietnam tours. Start with our Vietnam honeymoon packages or Vietnam family holidays.

Why Choose Vietnamtour.in for Your Sapa Tour Package?

Getting to Sapa is a 5 to 6 hour leg each way, and what happens on either side of it decides how the trip feels. Vietnamtour.in has run 46,000+ tours for travellers from India since 2015, with its own team on the ground in Vietnam and an office in Delhi.
  • The Hanoi to Sapa transfer is part of the package: The limousine van or the overnight train is booked with the itinerary, with hotel pickup in Hanoi and drop-off in Sapa town rather than a station transfer you arrange yourself. Both options are quoted, so you can choose between the expressway by day and a berth overnight.
  • Indian and vegetarian meals arranged in the mountains: Sapa has far fewer Indian restaurants than Hanoi, so meals are arranged ahead at every stop rather than left to chance. Requirements are collected at the time of booking, so the kitchens have notice.
  • Routes built for the season you are travelling in: The terraces look completely different between the golden harvest, the water-pouring season, and the summer green, and every Sapa Vietnam tour package is adjusted around what is actually worth seeing on your dates.
  • A coordinator on the ground in Vietnam: Mountain weather changes plans more often than it does elsewhere, and a dedicated coordinator moves the schedule, the guide, and the transfers when it does.

Wonderful Vietnam Trip with Vietnamtour We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Vietnamtour and would highly recommend them for anyone planning a trip to Vietnam. We explored Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Da Nang, Ba Na Hills, Hoi An and Phu Quoc, and every part of the trip was well planned and executed. A special mention to Quin, our travel agent, who was extremely helpful and supportive throughout the trip. From airport transfers and hotels to food, sightseeing and all the little details, everything was taken care of very well. She was always available whenever we needed assistance, even when we faced an unexpected flight-related issue that was outside the package. The entire trip was comfortable, well organised and truly memorable. Thank you to the whole Vietnamtour team, and especially Quin, for making our Vietnam holiday such a wonderful experience!

Frequently Asked Questions about Sapa Tour Packages

A Sapa tour package costs ₹67,000 to ₹1,51,000 per person for 6 to 15 days of land service, with the shortest Hanoi, Sapa, and Halong Bay route starting from ₹67,260. Return economy flights from India add roughly ₹20,000 to ₹45,000, and the Vietnam e-visa costs ₹2,375 (US$25). Every Sapa Vietnam tour package is quoted per person on twin-sharing.
2 nights in Sapa is enough for most travellers, covering Cat Cat village, the Fansipan cable car, and a half-day in Muong Hoa Valley. Adding a third night suits anyone who wants a full-day trek or a village homestay. Because the drive from Hanoi takes 5 to 6 hours each way, a Sapa tour package usually runs 6 days or more once Hanoi and Halong Bay are included.
No, Sapa has no airport. Every trip flies into Hanoi first, then continues by limousine van or private car for about 5 to 6 hours, or by overnight train to Lao Cai followed by an hour on the road. Hanoi itself has non-stop flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Kolkata.
Yes, October is one of the best months. The golden harvest runs from mid-September to mid-October and peaks in late September, so early October still catches the terraces before the rice is cut, with clear skies and temperatures of 14 to 22°C. It is also the busiest month for travellers from India because it falls across Dussehra and Diwali, so hotels and better train cabins need booking early.
A limousine van or private car takes about 5 to 6 hours each way via the Noi Bai – Lao Cai Expressway, with hotel pickup in Hanoi and drop-off in Sapa town. The alternative is the overnight train to Lao Cai, around 8 hours, followed by about an hour on the road for the final 35 km. Both are built into the package rather than left for you to book.
Yes to both, for different reasons. Couples get the terraced valleys, cool evenings, and a quieter pace than the beaches, with routes from ₹67,260 per person. Families manage Sapa comfortably because the main sights are short walks or cable car rides rather than long treks, and the same 6-day northern route is available as a family itinerary.
Sapa sits in the mountains and runs cooler than the rest of Vietnam all year. Autumn days are 14 to 22°C, spring is slightly warmer, and December to February can drop into single figures with mist and limited visibility. Travellers should pack a warm layer and a light jacket even in summer, along with shoes that grip, since village paths get slippery after rain. A local Vietnam SIM card is also worth sorting out before the drive, since maps and messaging help in the mountains.
Yes, Indian, vegetarian, and Jain meals are arranged at every stop, including Sapa. The town has fewer Indian restaurants than Hanoi, so meals there are planned ahead with the hotels and restaurants on the itinerary rather than found on the day. Requirements are collected at the time of booking, so every kitchen has notice.
Book 60 to 90 days ahead for most months of the year. The golden harvest in late September and October needs 4 to 6 months, since the hotels in town and the better overnight train cabins fill first, and Dussehra and Diwali fall in the same window. Leave at least a month for the e-visa.
Yes, every traveller needs a Vietnam e-visa before departure, including children, and it covers the whole country rather than individual regions. The e-visa costs ₹2,375 (US$25) applied direct on the government portal at evisa.gov.vn, and Vietnamtour.in also files e-visas on request at ₹3,325 (US$35) per traveller. Official processing takes 3 working days, but Vietnamtour.in advises allowing 7 to 10.
