How Much Does a Vietnam Trip from Pune Cost?

Vietnam tour packages from Pune cost ₹55,000 to ₹1,45,000 per person land-only, plus return flights from Pune at roughly ₹26,000 to ₹45,000 in economy, bringing the total to about ₹83,000 to ₹1,93,000 with the e-visa, before domestic flights and meals. Where a Vietnam trip from Pune lands within that range depends mostly on trip length, how many domestic flights the route needs, and whether you fly out of Pune or drive to Mumbai for a non-stop service.

  • What the land package includes: 4-star hotels, private air-conditioned transfers, an English-speaking guide in each city, entry tickets for scheduled sightseeing, a Halong Bay cruise on northern routes, daily breakfast with selected lunches and dinners, and bottled water on tour days.
  • What it excludes: international flights from Pune, domestic flights within Vietnam, the e-visa fee, meals outside the itinerary, single supplements, additional tips and personal expenses, and bank transfer fees.
Travel Style Land Package (Per Person) Est. Return Airfare from Pune Accommodation & Services
Budget / Backpacking ₹40,000 – ₹55,000 ₹26,000 – ₹45,000 (economy) 3-star hotels, shared group sightseeing
Mid-Range / Comfort ₹55,000 – ₹1,45,000 ₹26,000 – ₹45,000 (economy) 4-star hotels, Halong Bay cruise, private transfers
Premium / Luxury On request Full-service carriers, higher in peak season 5-star upgrades arranged on request

Pune itineraries on Vietnamtour.in use 4-star hotels, so 5-star trips are quoted on request rather than listed. Airfare estimates from Pune as of September 2026; fares vary by season and booking window.

Every Vietnamtour.in package from Pune is quoted per person on twin-sharing, and the per-person rate falls as the group grows, so it is worth asking for the group rate before comparing 2 quotes side by side. Vietnam packages from Pune are priced land-only, which lets travellers choose between a one-stop flight and the Mumbai routing rather than being tied to one option. See our guide to Vietnam trip cost from India for a complete budget breakdown.

Flights from Pune to Vietnam: Routes, Airlines & Travel Time

Pune has no non-stop flights to Vietnam, so travellers from Pune have 2 realistic options: a one-stop flight from Pune Airport, or the 3-hour drive to Mumbai for direct service. A Vietnam trip from Pune starts at Pune Airport (PNQ) and lands at either Noi Bai International Airport (HAN) in Hanoi or Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) in Ho Chi Minh City.

Option 1: A One-Stop Flight from Pune

The fastest one-stop routing from Pune reaches Hanoi in about 8 hours 55 minutes, and the 2 quickest connections are through Bangkok at around 9 hours with a 2-hour 15-minute layover, or through Delhi at around 9 hours 10 minutes with a 2-hour 25-minute layover. Air India and IndiGo operate most of these connections, with Vietnam Airlines on some routes. Schedules with longer layovers run 12 to 20 hours in total, so the itinerary and the fare are worth checking together rather than sorting by price alone.

Option 2: Drive to Mumbai and Fly Direct

Mumbai is about 3 hours by road from Pune, and it has non-stop flights to both Vietnamese gateways: Hanoi in about 4 hours 30 minutes to 5 hours with VietJet Air, Vietnam Airlines, or Akasa Air, and Ho Chi Minh City in about 5 hours 15 minutes to 5 hours 25 minutes with VietJet Air or Vietnam Airlines. Counting the drive, the whole journey works out to roughly 7 to 8 hours, which beats most one-stop schedules from Pune Airport. The trade-off is the road leg at either end of the trip.

Transit and Timing Notes

Connecting through Bangkok or Delhi needs no transit visa as long as you stay inside the international transit area with a confirmed onward ticket and baggage checked through to Vietnam. Thailand still grants Indian passport holders visa-free entry for up to 30 days (from 15 September 2026), so stepping out of Suvarnabhumi does not require a visa on arrival or a Thai e-visa. A Delhi connection is domestic-to-international and raises no visa question at all for Indian travellers.

Vietnam runs 1 hour 30 minutes ahead of India, worth allowing for when planning the first day. Every traveller still needs a Vietnam e-visa before departure, covered in our guide to the Vietnam e-visa for Indian travellers.

Recommended Vietnam Itineraries from Pune

How you travel decides how much of day 1 you get. A non-stop flight from Mumbai lands in Vietnam early in the morning, before the standard hotel check-in at 2:00 PM, which suits a light first day and sightseeing in the afternoon.

A one-stop route from Pune often arrives later in the day, so the first day is best kept to the transfer and an evening walk near the hotel. Most itineraries here begin in Hanoi and the rest start in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, or Phu Quoc, so the connection and the route are worth choosing together.

The Classic 8-Day Vietnam Tour from Pune

The 8-day route covers all 3 regions, running Hanoi and Halong Bay, then Da Nang and Hoi An on the central coast, and finishing with Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta, from ₹63,270 per person. It is the most popular length for a first trip and needs 2 domestic flights. A reverse version starts in Ho Chi Minh City and adds Ninh Binh at the Hanoi end, from ₹71,725 per person. Compare lengths in our 8-day Vietnam tours.

Honeymoon and Family Trips from Pune

Couple routes start from ₹54,910 per person on the Phu Quoc island stay, or from ₹63,935 per person on a 6-day run through Hanoi, Halong Bay, and Ho Chi Minh City, and rooms can be decorated for a honeymoon or an anniversary at no extra charge. Family routes cover the same ground at a slower pace, with connecting rooms or an extra bed for children arranged at the time of booking. Start with our Vietnam honeymoon packages or Vietnam family holidays.

Northern Routes with Sapa

Sapa suits travellers from Pune better than most, because the northern loop needs no domestic flight at all once you land in Hanoi. The 6-day Hanoi, Sapa, and Halong Bay route starts from ₹67,260 per person, while the 8-day version adds Da Nang and Hoi An from ₹80,845 per person with a single domestic sector. See the options in our 6-day Vietnam tours and Sapa tour packages.

Why Choose Vietnamtour.in for Your Trip from Pune?

From Pune, the first decision is not the itinerary but the routing, and it changes the fare, the arrival time, and how much day 1 survives. Vietnamtour.in has run 46,000+ tours for travellers from India since 2015, with its own team on the ground in Vietnam and an office in Delhi.

  • Both routes compared before the itinerary is fixed: A one-stop flight from Pune and a non-stop from Mumbai give very different arrival times and total journey lengths. Vietnamtour.in checks both against your dates, then builds the first and last day around whichever you choose rather than around an ideal schedule.
  • Day 1 matched to your arrival: A morning landing leaves room for a city tour the same afternoon, while a late arrival after a long connection needs an early check-in request and a quiet first evening. The schedule is set once the flight is chosen, not before.
  • Indian, vegetarian, and Jain meals on request: Meals are arranged at every major stop when the kitchen is told in advance, which is why dietary requirements are collected at the time of booking rather than on arrival.
  • A coordinator on the ground in Vietnam: If a connecting flight is delayed or rebooked, a dedicated coordinator moves the airport pickup, the guide, and the first day's timings rather than leaving travellers to sort it out on arrival.

Wonderful Vietnam Trip with Vietnamtour We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Vietnamtour and would highly recommend them for anyone planning a trip to Vietnam. We explored Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Da Nang, Ba Na Hills, Hoi An and Phu Quoc, and every part of the trip was well planned and executed. A special mention to Quin, our travel agent, who was extremely helpful and supportive throughout the trip. From airport transfers and hotels to food, sightseeing and all the little details, everything was taken care of very well. She was always available whenever we needed assistance, even when we faced an unexpected flight-related issue that was outside the package. The entire trip was comfortable, well organised and truly memorable. Thank you to the whole Vietnamtour team, and especially Quin, for making our Vietnam holiday such a wonderful experience!

HOW TO CUSTOMIZE YOUR PUNE TO VIETNAM PACKAGE

Frequently Asked Questions about Vietnam Tour Packages from Pune

No, there are no non-stop flights from Pune to Vietnam as of September 2026. Every route from Pune Airport connects once, usually through Bangkok, Delhi, or another Indian hub, and Air India and IndiGo operate most of those connections. Travellers who want a direct flight drive 3 hours to Mumbai instead.
The fastest one-stop route from Pune reaches Hanoi in about 8 hours 55 minutes, with the quickest connections through Bangkok at around 9 hours and Delhi at around 9 hours 10 minutes. Schedules with longer layovers run 12 to 20 hours in total, so 2 itineraries at the same fare can differ by half a day. Vietnam runs 1 hour 30 minutes ahead of India.
Yes, in most cases. The drive from Pune to Mumbai takes about 3 hours, and Mumbai has non-stop flights to Hanoi in about 4 hours 30 minutes to 5 hours and to Ho Chi Minh City in about 5 hours 15 minutes to 5 hours 25 minutes. Counting the road leg, the whole journey works out to roughly 7 to 8 hours, which beats most one-stop schedules from Pune Airport.
A return economy flight from Pune to Vietnam costs roughly ₹26,000 to ₹45,000, with the lower end on connections booked well ahead. Fares rise over Diwali, Christmas, and the New Year. Booking 2 to 3 months in advance usually gives the best combination of price and layover length.
No, not if you stay inside the international transit area with a confirmed onward ticket and baggage checked through to Vietnam. A Delhi connection raises no visa question at all, since it is a domestic-to-international transfer. Thailand still grants Indian passport holders visa-free entry for up to 30 days (from 15 September 2026), so stepping out of Suvarnabhumi does not require a visa on arrival or a Thai e-visa.
It depends on the itinerary rather than the fare. Hanoi has more connection options from Pune and suits northern routes and anything including Sapa, while Ho Chi Minh City suits south-to-north itineraries. A trip covering the length of the country works best flying into one city and out of the other, and the Vietnamtour.in team can check whether an open-jaw fare is cheaper than a return.
Yes, every traveller needs a Vietnam e-visa before departure, including children. The e-visa costs ₹2,375 (US$25) applied direct on the government portal at evisa.gov.vn, and Vietnamtour.in also files e-visas on request at ₹3,325 (US$35) per traveller. Official processing takes 3 working days, but Vietnamtour.in advises allowing 7 to 10, and travellers must also complete the free online pre-arrival declaration and show the QR code at immigration.
Yes, the team in India can check fares and book both international and domestic flights on request. Vietnam packages from Pune are quoted land-only, so travellers are free to book their own tickets or use airline points, and booking through the team simply keeps the connection times matched to the first and last day of the itinerary.
Book Vietnam packages from Pune 60 to 90 days ahead for most months of the year, which usually catches better airfares and leaves the widest choice of hotels. Diwali and December departures need 4 to 6 months. Connections with short, sensible layovers sell out before the cheap fares do, so early booking buys a better journey as much as a better price.
Start Planning Your Vietnam Trip from Pune Vietnam is about 9 hours from Pune on the fastest connection, or roughly 7 to 8 hours counting the drive to Mumbai and a non-stop flight, which includes Halong Bay, the lantern streets of Hoi An, and the rice terraces of Sapa within a week's leave. Every Vietnam tour package from Pune comes with 4-star stays, private transfers, and Indian, vegetarian, or Jain meals at every stop, planned around the routing you actually travel on. Send your travel dates today and a local consultant will have a full itinerary and per-person price with you within 24 hours, free and with nothing to pay until the plan is right.
