Vietnam 6 day trip cost from India (2026)

A Vietnam 6 day tour package from India costs ₹55,000 to ₹67,000 per person for the land package, or about ₹84,000 to ₹1,21,000 all in once international flights, the e-visa, and on-ground spending are added. The price of a 6-day Vietnam trip within that range depends on two things: whether the route needs a domestic flight, and whether it includes an overnight Halong Bay cruise.

  • What a 6-day land package includes: 4-star hotels as the minimum standard, private air-conditioned transfers, an English-speaking guide, entry tickets for scheduled sightseeing, an overnight Halong Bay cruise on every northern route, daily breakfast with selected lunches and dinners, and bottled water on tour days.
  • What a 6-day package excludes: international flights from India, domestic flights within Vietnam, the e-visa fee, meals outside the itinerary, single supplements, compulsory tips of US$3 (₹285) per person per day for guides and drivers, bank transfer fees, and personal expenses.

Where a 6-day Vietnam trip lands within that range depends mostly on hotel class and on how many regions the itinerary covers.

Travel Style

6-Day Vietnam Trip Cost (Per Person)

Accommodation & Services

Budget / Backpacking

₹40,000 – ₹52,000

3-star hotels, shared group tours, a Halong Bay day cruise

Mid-Range / Comfort

₹55,000 – ₹67,000

4-star hotels, private car with an English-speaking guide, overnight Halong Bay cruise, at most one domestic flight

Luxury

₹85,000+

5-star hotels and resorts, premium cruise cabin, fine dining, upgraded transfers

Land-only, excluding international flights, quoted per person on twin-sharing, at ₹95 = US$1.

Every Vietnam tour package 5 nights 6 days sits in the comfort tier, with 4-star stays as the minimum standard and 5-star upgrades on request. Each price is quoted per person on twin-sharing, so it is worth checking what any quote actually includes before comparing two numbers side by side.

The list below breaks the Vietnam 6 day trip cost from India down for one traveller on a comfort-tier route, from the land package to the cash carried for small payments.

  • Land package (5 nights, 4-star, twin-sharing): ₹54,910 to ₹67,260, covering hotels, private transfers, guides, scheduled entry tickets, and daily breakfast.
  • Return flights (India – Vietnam): ₹20,000 to ₹35,000 in economy, booked 2 to 3 months in advance.
  • Domestic flights within Vietnam: ₹0 to ₹6,000, since a 6-day route needs either no sector or one sector at ₹2,500 to ₹6,000.
  • Vietnam e-visa: ₹2,375 (US$25) for a single-entry e-visa, valid for stays of up to 90 days.
  • Meals outside the package: ₹4,800 to ₹9,000 over 6 days, from ₹800 to ₹1,500 per day.
  • Tips for guides and drivers: around ₹1,710, at US$3 (₹285) per person per day.

Travellers should carry another ₹15,000 to ₹20,000 per person in cash for shopping, snacks, and small local payments on a 6-day Vietnam trip, since that money is a float rather than part of the fixed cost. Travellers comparing destinations can see the wider picture in our guide to Vietnam budget trip from India.

Vietnam Itinerary 6 Days

A 6-day Vietnam trip is 5 nights, which leaves about four and a half days on the ground once the arrival and departure flights are counted. 6 days in Vietnam covers two regions at a comfortable pace, or one region in real depth, with no more than one domestic flight. The four routes below are the shapes Vietnamtour.in 6 days tour packages actually take, each built around a different priority.

Route 1: North and Central — Hanoi, Halong Bay, Da Nang, Hoi An

The Hanoi to Da Nang route starts from ₹63,935 per person and needs one domestic flight, with one night in Hanoi, one night on a Halong Bay cruise, and three nights in Da Nang.

  • Day 1: Arrive in Hanoi, then the Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake, the Old Quarter, and Train Street in the evening.
  • Day 2: Drive to Halong Bay and board an overnight cruise, with kayaking and cave visits in the afternoon.
  • Day 3: Sunrise Tai Chi on deck, return to Hanoi, and fly to Da Nang, about 1 hour 25 minutes.
  • Day 4: Marble Mountains, a basket boat ride at Cam Thanh Coconut Village, and a lantern boat ride in Hoi An Ancient Town.
  • Day 5: Cable car to Ba Na Hills for the Golden Bridge and the French Village.
  • Day 6: Depart from Da Nang.

The North and Central route suits first-time visitors who want both the bay and the lantern-lit old town on one short trip.

Route 2: North and South — Hanoi, Halong Bay, Ho Chi Minh City, Mekong Delta

The Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City route starts from ₹63,935 per person and needs one domestic flight, with one night in Hanoi, one night on a Halong Bay cruise, and three nights in Ho Chi Minh City.

  • Day 1: Arrive in Hanoi, then the Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake, the Old Quarter, and Train Street.
  • Day 2: Drive to Halong Bay for an overnight cruise through the limestone karsts.
  • Day 3: Return to Hanoi and fly to Ho Chi Minh City, about 2 hours 5 minutes.
  • Day 4: Independence Palace, the Central Post Office, the War Remnants Museum, and the Cu Chi Tunnels.
  • Day 5: Mekong Delta day trip to My Tho, with a river cruise, a coconut candy workshop, and a rowing boat through the canals.
  • Day 6: Depart from Ho Chi Minh City.

The North and South route suits travellers who would rather see both ends of Vietnam than the central coast, and who are curious about the country's history as much as its scenery.

Route 3: Northern Vietnam with Sapa — Hanoi, Sapa, Halong Bay

The Sapa route starts from ₹67,260 per person and is the only 6-day shape that needs no domestic flight at all, with three nights in Hanoi, one in Sapa, and one on a Halong Bay cruise.

  • Day 1: Arrive in Hanoi, then the Temple of Literature and Dong Xuan Market.
  • Day 2: Drive to Sapa and walk to Cat Cat Village and its waterfall.
  • Day 3: Ride the Fansipan cable car to the Roof of Indochina, then return to Hanoi.
  • Day 4: Drive to Halong Bay, about 2.5 to 3 hours on the expressway, for an overnight cruise.
  • Day 5: Sunrise on the bay, brunch on board, and return to Hanoi.
  • Day 6: Depart from Hanoi.

The Northern Vietnam with Sapa route suits travellers who want mountains and the bay together, and who would rather spend travel time on scenic roads than in airports.

Route 4: Beach and Island — Da Nang and Phu Quoc

The Da Nang to Phu Quoc route starts from ₹57,475 per person and needs one domestic flight, with two nights in Da Nang and three on Phu Quoc.

  • Day 1: Arrive in Da Nang and check into a beachfront hotel.
  • Day 2: Cable car to Ba Na Hills for the Golden Bridge and the French Village.
  • Day 3: Son Tra Peninsula and the Marble Mountains, then fly to Phu Quoc, about 1 hour 50 minutes.
  • Day 4: Vinpearl Safari in the morning and VinWonders in the afternoon.
  • Day 5: A four-island boat trip through Fingernail, Gam Ghi, and May Rut islands, Aquatopia Water Park, and the Hon Thom cable car back to Sunset Town.
  • Day 6: Depart from Phu Quoc.

The Beach and Island route suits couples and families who want theme parks and island days rather than city sightseeing. Travellers who prefer a single hotel can choose a Phu Quoc-only 6-day itinerary from ₹54,910 per person, which needs no domestic flight.

What You Should Not Try to Cover in 6 Days?

6 days is the shortest duration that still fits two regions of Vietnam without rushing, so the mistakes at this length come from adding one stop too many. Nothing below is impossible in a Vietnam 6 day tour package, but each one costs more time than it gives back.

  • All three regions on one trip: Covering the north, the central coast, and the south needs two domestic flights, and each sector costs about half a day once transfers and check-in are counted. Two of the four and a half usable days would go to airports, leaving little time to enjoy any of the three regions.
  • Sapa together with the central coast or the south: Sapa has no airport, so reaching it means a 5 to 6 hour drive from Hanoi each way. Sapa works well in 6 days when the whole trip stays in the north, where the Hanoi, Sapa, and Halong Bay route needs no domestic flight at all.
  • Halong Bay and Phu Quoc in the same 6 days: The bay sits in the far north and the island in the far south, linked by one of the longest domestic sectors in Vietnam at about 2 hours 10 minutes. Squeezed into five nights, both end up with too short a stay to be worth the journey, and the pairing works far better over 7 days.
  • An extra day trip on top of a two-region route: Ninh Binh from Hanoi or Hue from Da Nang each takes most of a day, and a two-region 6-day route has no spare day to travel. Adding one would mean giving up the overnight Halong Bay cruise or Ba Na Hills.

Travellers who want one of these combinations are better served by a slightly longer trip than a fuller short one. The bay and the island together start on our Vietnam tour Package for 7 days, while all three regions fit comfortably on our 8 day Vietnam tours.

Why Choose Vietnamtour.in for Your 6-Day Vietnam Trip?

On a 6-day trip, every half-day lost to transfers is close to a tenth of the holiday, so the order of stops matters more than the number of them. Vietnamtour.in has run 46,000+ tours for travellers from India since 2015, and every 6-day route can be customised around the parts of Vietnam you care about most.

  • One domestic flight at most: Every Vietnamtour.in 6-day itinerary is sequenced, so the trip never needs more than a single domestic sector, and the Sapa and Phu Quoc-only routes need none at all. That keeps the four and a half days on the ground for sightseeing rather than airports.
  • An overnight Halong Bay cruise, even in 6 days: Every 6-day route through the north includes a night on a Halong Bay cruise, with kayaking, cave visits, and sunrise on deck, rather than a rushed day trip from Hanoi.
  • Indian, vegetarian, and Jain meals on request: Meals are arranged at every major stop when the kitchen is told in advance, which is why dietary requirements are collected at the time of booking rather than on arrival.
  • A team in Delhi and a coordinator on the ground: Questions before departure go to the Vietnamtour.in office in Delhi or by WhatsApp in IST, and once you land, a dedicated coordinator handles transfers, timings, and any change to the plan.

Wonderful Vietnam Trip with Vietnamtour We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Vietnamtour and would highly recommend them for anyone planning a trip to Vietnam. We explored Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Da Nang, Ba Na Hills, Hoi An and Phu Quoc, and every part of the trip was well planned and executed. A special mention to Quin, our travel agent, who was extremely helpful and supportive throughout the trip. From airport transfers and hotels to food, sightseeing and all the little details, everything was taken care of very well. She was always available whenever we needed assistance, even when we faced an unexpected flight-related issue that was outside the package. The entire trip was comfortable, well organised and truly memorable. Thank you to the whole Vietnamtour team, and especially Quin, for making our Vietnam holiday such a wonderful experience!

6 Days vs 7 Days vs 8 Days — Which One Fits You?

A 6-day Vietnam tour package covers two regions with at most one domestic flight, while a 7-day trip adds a spare night or a third region, and an 8-day itinerary fits all three regions at an easier pace. The table below compares what each trip length gives you and what it asks in return.

7 Days

8 Days

The shortest leave, and no more than one flight

A second night at a main stop, or the bay and Phu Quoc together

All three regions, with 5-star options

What you give up

The third region

Sapa, unless the whole trip stays north

A day of leave and a higher total

Couples and families wanting two full regions

Travellers who can spare one more day should compare Vietnam tour Package for 7 days, where Halong Bay and Phu Quoc fit into the same trip. For all three regions without rushing, 8 day Vietnam tours give the itinerary the room it needs.

Frequently Asked Questions about a Vietnam 6 Day Tour Package

Yes, 6 days is enough for a Vietnam trip from India that covers two regions, or one region explored properly. Five nights leave about four and a half days on the ground, which suits pairs such as Hanoi with Halong Bay and Da Nang, or Da Nang with Phu Quoc. All three regions need at least 7 days.

No, Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City together are too much for 6 days, because the route needs two domestic flights and each costs about half a day. A 6-day trip works better with two of the three, such as Hanoi and Da Nang or Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. All three fit for 7 days.

A 10-day Vietnam itinerary needs between one and three domestic flights, depending on the route. The Sapa route needs only one, because Sapa and Halong Bay are both reached by road from Hanoi. A classic north-to-south run needs two, and routes that add Phu Quoc in the middle need three. Domestic sectors cost about ₹2,500 to ₹6,000 each and are not included in the land package.

A 6-day Vietnam itinerary usually flies into one city and out of another, which saves the return sector. The north-and-central route flies into Hanoi (HAN) and out of Da Nang (DAD), the north-and-south route flies into Hanoi and out of Ho Chi Minh City (SGN), and the beach route flies into Da Nang and out of Phu Quoc (PQC). Travellers heading to Phu Quoc should note there are no direct flights from India to the island.

Yes, Indian, vegetarian, and Jain meals are available at every major stop on a 6-day Vietnam route, including Halong Bay cruise nights and Phu Quoc. Requests need advance notice so the kitchen can prepare properly, and daily breakfast is included in every package.

Travellers should carry around ₹15,000 to ₹20,000 per person in cash for a 6-day Vietnam trip, on top of the package and flights. Street stalls, markets, and taxis are mostly cash only, UPI does not work in Vietnam, and ATM withdrawals carry a fee of 22,000 to 55,000 VND (about ₹80 to ₹200) per transaction.

Yes, Sapa fits a 6-day package when the whole trip stays in the north. The Hanoi, Sapa, and Halong Bay route starts from ₹67,260 per person, with a night in Sapa for Cat Cat Village and the Fansipan cable car, followed by an overnight Halong Bay cruise, and it needs no domestic flight.

Yes, the single-entry Vietnam e-visa costs ₹2,375 (US$25) and allows stays of up to 90 days, so a 6-day tour is well within it. Travellers should apply at least a month before departure, since official processing takes three working days, but the Vietnamese Embassy in India advises leaving extra time. Every traveller needs their own e-visa, including children.

Yes, a 6-day Vietnam itinerary can be customised for a honeymoon, and several of the 6-day routes are already built for couples. Rooms can be decorated for a honeymoon or anniversary at no extra charge, and hotels can be upgraded to 5-star on request.
