DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival

Welcome to Hanoi – the capital of Vietnam, where your family journey begins.

Upon arrival, your guide will be there to greet the whole family and accompany you to your hotel for check-in. Your room(s) will be ready according to the hotel’s standard check-in time (approximately 14:00–15:00), giving you time to settle in comfortably after your flight.

The rest of the day is left open, allowing everyone to rest, recharge, or simply take in your first impressions of the city at your own pace.

Overnight in Hanoi, as you ease into the rhythm of your journey.

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
Day 2: Hanoi - Ninh Binh (Hoa Lu Trang an) (Private Tour) (B)

After breakfast, your family will set out on a day trip to Ninh Binh, located about 120 km from Hanoi. Today’s trip begins with a comfortable drive through the countryside, with a short break along the way to rest and stretch.

Your first stop is Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam. Here, your family will explore the historic temples of King Dinh and King Le, the first and second emperors of ancient Vietnam, built in the 17th century. As you walk through the site, your guide will share stories about the country’s early history and explain why the capital was later moved to Hanoi, while the peaceful surroundings offer a chance to slow down and take in the atmosphere.

Around midday, you will have lunch at a local restaurant (at your own expense), giving everyone time to relax before continuing the journey.

In the afternoon, continue to Trang An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its unique combination of natural beauty and cultural significance. This area is famous for its network of caves and waterways, and even served as a filming location for Kong: Skull Island (2016).

Here, your family will enjoy a boat trip through the landscape, gently passing along green rivers and through a series of caves such as Sang Cave (Light Cave), Toi Cave (Dark Cave), and Nau Ruou Cave (Cooking Wine Cave). The peaceful ride and surrounding scenery create a calm and enjoyable experience for all ages.

After the visit, return to Hanoi by private car, arriving at your hotel in the early evening (around 18:30 – 19:00). Dinner is on your own.

Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi - Ninh Binh (Hoa Lu Trang an) (Private Tour) (B)
Day 3: Sapa Arrival - Cat Cat Village (Private Tour) (B)

Your day begins with a private transfer and guide taking you and your loved ones from your hotel to Sapa. The journey follows the highway to Lao Cai with a short comfort break along the way, before continuing on a scenic mountain road where valleys and terraced fields gradually come into view.

Upon arrival in Sapa, you will notice the vibrant presence of ethnic groups such as the H’mong, Dzao, and Tay in their colorful traditional costumes. Everyone will have time to enjoy lunch with local Vietnamese dishes (at your own expense) and complete your hotel check-in.

In the afternoon, take a short walk to Cat Cat Village, home of the Black H’mong people, located at the foot of Fansipan Peak. With your local guide, explore daily life in the village and trek down to the valley to visit a waterfall and a historic hydraulic power station built by the French. There will be time to take photos before trekking back uphill to Sapa, enjoying the beautiful scenery in the late afternoon.

The trekking distance is approximately 2.5 km and takes around 2 hours. Afterward, your driver will pick you up and bring you back to Sapa town.

The evening is free for dinner and personal activities at your own pace.

Overnight in Sapa.

Day 3: Sapa Arrival - Cat Cat Village (Private Tour) (B)
Day 4: Sapa - Fansipan Peak by Cable Car - Hanoi (Private Tour) (B)

Today brings one of the most memorable highlights of your time in the north, with a journey to Fansipan Peak, also known as the highest point in Indochina.

After breakfast, you’ll transfer to the cable car station and begin your ascent. The ride itself is a key part of the experience, offering wide, uninterrupted views over the Hoang Lien Son mountain range. As the cabin rises above the valleys, you’ll see layers of forest, terraced hillsides, and clouds drifting across the landscape, creating a calm and scenic start to the day.

Upon reaching the upper station, you’ll have time to explore the area at your own pace. A series of stone paths and stairways lead you through temple complexes and viewpoints, with opportunities to pause, take photos, or simply take in the fresh mountain air. If you feel comfortable, you can continue up the final steps to the summit, where a panoramic view awaits. This is a rewarding moment, but entirely optional depending on your preference and energy level.

After descending by cable car, you’ll return to Sapa town for a short break before beginning your journey back to Hanoi by private car, with comfort stops along the way.

You’ll arrive in Hanoi in the evening, after a full yet well-paced day that combines natural scenery with a comfortable travel experience.

Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 4: Sapa - Fansipan Peak by Cable Car - Hanoi (Private Tour) (B)
Day 5: Hanoi - Day Trip to Halong Bay (Private Transfer) (B, L)

You’ll leave Hanoi early in the morning (around 05:00) and travel to Halong Bay by private car, making the journey more comfortable and easier to manage for families.

After checking in at the cruise’s lounge, you’ll board the cruise and enjoy a light breakfast while the boat moves through Halong Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay. Most of the experience is relaxed, so the whole family can simply sit and enjoy the scenery together without needing to move around too much.

You’ll visit Sung Sot Cave and Titov Island. At Titov, you can choose between climbing up for the view or staying by the water, depending on what suits your family. At Luon Cave, you can either kayak or take a bamboo boat, so everyone can choose what feels easier.

Lunch is served onboard, and there is enough time between activities to rest. The schedule is clear and not rushed, making it manageable even with different ages in the group.

You’ll return to Hanoi in the evening.

Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 5: Hanoi - Day Trip to Halong Bay (Private Transfer) (B, L)

The activity is simple and guided by local fishermen, so it’s easy for both adults and children to join. You’ll move slowly through the waterways and try light activities like paddling or watching fishing demonstrations.

In the afternoon, you’ll visit Hoi An Ancient Town. The walking route is not long and includes regular stops, so it doesn’t feel tiring. You’ll visit key sites like the Phuc Kien Assembly Hall and the Japanese Bridge while also having time to walk around.

In the evening, you’ll take a short boat ride and release a lantern on the river, which is an activity that works well for all ages.

Overnight in Da Nang.

At the top, you will walk across the iconic Golden Bridge, explore the charming French Village, and enjoy a variety of attractions in a cool, refreshing climate. You also can admire the beautiful Linh Ung Pagoda and take in panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. The experience offers a perfect contrast to your beach stay while maintaining comfort and exclusivity.

A carefully arranged lunch with Indian-friendly options ensures a delightful experience before returning to the coast.

Day 8: Danang - Ba Na Hills with the Golden Bridge (Private Tour) (B, L)
Day 9: Danang Half-Day City Tour (Private Tour) (B)

Your family will be picked up from the hotel in Da Nang and begin a half-day exploration of the city’s natural and cultural highlights.

The journey starts with a visit to Monkey Mountain, where the impressive Lady Buddha statue stands against a beautiful backdrop of mountains and a large bonsai garden. Continue to the Marble Mountains, where you will have time to explore this well-known site. On the way, stop to see local stone sculpture factories, part of one of the most notable handicraft villages in Da Nang.

Also known as Ngu Hanh Son, the Marble Mountains are a group of five limestone and marble hills rising near the sea, often described as resembling five fingers. With the convenience of a round-trip elevator ride included, your family can comfortably explore caves, caverns, pagodas, stairways, and viewpoints. The area is home to both Buddhist sanctuaries and Hindu grottoes, making it an important spiritual site for locals, as well as a peaceful escape from the city.

The experience continues with a visit to Am Phu Cave, the largest and most fascinating cave in the area. Here, you will gain insight into Buddhist philosophies while also having time to take photos of striking natural formations.

At the end of the tour, return to your hotel.

Overnight in Da Nang.

Upon arrival, your guide and driver will be there to welcome and accompany you to your hotel. Check-in will follow the hotel’s standard time (approximately 14:00–15:00), allowing you to settle in comfortably after the journey.

As your journey gently comes to a close, take a moment to step back in time and explore Vietnam’s rich and enduring history. After breakfast, your family will depart from Ho Chi Minh City and travel to the Cu Chi Tunnels (approximately 1.5 hours).

The visit begins with a short introductory video, helping everyone understand how Cu Chi tunnels were constructed and the resilience of the Vietnamese people during wartime. You will then explore parts of the underground system, including living areas, kitchens, weapon workshops, field hospitals, and command centers. Along the way, you’ll also see hidden trapdoors and defensive mechanisms that were used for protection. To complete the experience, there is a chance to try traditional tea and cassava, once a staple food for soldiers.

After the visit, continue your journey to My Tho in the Mekong Delta (around 2 hours). Here, your family will enjoy a relaxing boat ride along the Tien River, passing the well-known Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise Islands.

The experience continues with a gentle sampan ride through narrow canals lined with lush greenery, offering a peaceful contrast to the city. Along the way, you will visit a coconut candy workshop, enjoy seasonal fruits and honey tea, and listen to traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music.
