On 18 September 2026, the Vietnamtour.in team in Hanoi was delighted to welcome Sagnik, our Country Manager India, to the office.
For many of our travellers, Mr Sagnik is the first person they speak to about a Vietnam holiday. For the team in Hanoi, he is a colleague they have worked alongside for a long time, mostly through calls and messages. Having him in the office, in person, was something everyone had been looking forward to.
A Familiar Colleague, Finally in Person
It is a funny thing about working across two countries. People can share bookings, plans, and jokes for months without ever shaking hands.
That was the case with Sagnik and the Hanoi team. So when he walked through the door, the welcome felt less like a business visit and more like greeting an old friend. There were warm smiles, a few hugs, and a lot of people wanting to say hello at the same time.
He spent the day getting to know the office and the people in it: the consultants who plan the itineraries, the operations team who look after every hotel, driver, and guide, and everyone else who quietly keeps a holiday running smoothly. Each team had things to show him, and he had plenty of questions in return.
Two Sides of the Same Team
Every Vietnamtour.in holiday is shaped by people in two places. In India, Mr Sagnik listens to what families are hoping for. In Vietnam, the Hanoi team turns those hopes into a real journey.
Most of the time this works through screens. A day together changed that a little. Conversations that usually happen in short messages could finally happen properly, over a table, with time to explain and time to laugh. The Hanoi team came away understanding our travellers a little better. Sagnik came away with a long list of things to tell everyone back home.
The Start of a Longer Journey
Hanoi was only the first stop. From here, Mr Sagnik continues on a survey trip across Vietnam, seeing for himself the places our travellers ask about most.
Before he set off, the team asked him what he was hoping to discover on the road, and how his first day in Hanoi had felt. We will share more of his thoughts once the journey is complete.
