Enchanting Vietnam: A Romantic 8-Day Journey from Hanoi to Da Nang – Hoi An

Welcome to Hanoi, the charming capital of Vietnam. Upon arrival, you will be warmly greeted by your guide before being comfortably transferred to your hotel. Once you arrive, the check-in process will follow the hotel’s standard timing, typically between 14:00 and 15:00.

For the rest of the day, you are free to unwind at your own pace. Whether you prefer to relax at the hotel or step out for a gentle stroll, the city offers a calm introduction to your journey together.

Overnight in Hanoi.

The day begins at 08:00, when your guide will meet you at the hotel and accompany you on a scenic drive to Ninh Binh Province, located around 120 km from Hanoi. Along the way, a short 20-minute break at around 09:00 allows you to refresh before continuing the journey.

By 10:30, you will arrive at Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, once the political heart of Vietnam. As you explore the temples of King Dinh and King Le, both dating back to the 17th century, the atmosphere evokes a strong sense of history. At the same time, your guide will share insights into why the capital was eventually moved to Hanoi.

Lunch will be arranged at a local restaurant at 12:30 (at your own expense).

In the early afternoon, between 13:30 and 14:00, the journey continues to Trang An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its dramatic landscape. As you glide along the river by boat, you will pass through a series of caves such as Sang Cave, Toi Cave, and Nau Ruou Cave. Surrounded by limestone mountains and tranquil waters, the experience feels both peaceful and immersive.

At 16:00, you will return to Hanoi by private car, arriving at your hotel between 18:30 and 19:00. The evening is free for you to enjoy as you wish.

Overnight in Hanoi.

After breakfast, you will check out of your hotel and set off for Halong Bay by private car. As the journey unfolds, the scenery gradually changes, revealing the lush rice fields and expansive landscapes of the Red River Delta.

Upon arrival at the harbor, you will board your cruise and begin sailing through the emerald waters of Halong Bay. Towering limestone karsts rise dramatically from the sea, creating a breathtaking backdrop. During the cruise, a visit to a stunning grotto allows you to admire intricate stalactites and stalagmites formed over centuries.

The remainder of the day is designed for relaxation. Meals will be served onboard, and the peaceful ambiance of the bay creates the perfect setting for couples to unwind. Spending the night on the cruise adds a truly special touch to the experience.

Note: It is recommended to prepare a small overnight bag, as cabin space is limited. Larger luggage will be safely stored at your Hanoi hotel.

As the morning begins, you can take time to relax, sunbathe, or simply admire the serene beauty of Halong Bay. The gentle rhythm of the water and the surrounding scenery create a calming atmosphere.

After enjoying brunch onboard at around 11:30, you will disembark and begin your return journey to Hanoi. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel, where your room will be ready for check-in.

The rest of the day remains free, offering flexibility to rest or explore at your own pace.

Overnight in Hanoi.

You will have free time until your driver (without a guide) arrives to transfer you to the airport for your flight to Da Nang.

Upon landing, your driver and guide will welcome you and escort you to your hotel. Check-in will follow the standard hotel timing, and meals for the day are at your own arrangement.

The remainder of the day allows you to relax and enjoy the coastal ambiance of Da Nang.

Overnight in Da Nang.

Your day begins with a transfer to Cam Thanh fishing village, where a unique cultural experience awaits. As you glide through the coconut forest on a traditional basket boat, the guide will introduce the history of the area. Along the way, you will observe local fishing techniques, try paddling the boat, and even join a lively basket boat performance.

In addition, you will explore peaceful waterways, try crab-catching, and visit a local fisherman’s house, where a refreshing drink is served.

Later in the afternoon, you will continue to Hoi An Ancient Town. Here, you will visit Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, admire its intricate architecture, and learn about local spiritual practices. The journey continues through historic houses such as Phung Hung or Tan Ky, followed by a stop at the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge.

Dinner will be at your own arrangement.

As evening falls, a romantic boat ride along the river offers a magical experience. Releasing flower lanterns becomes a meaningful moment, symbolizing wishes for happiness and prosperity.

In the morning, you will travel to Ba Na Hills, located approximately 45 minutes from Da Nang. Upon arrival, a scenic cable car ride takes you high above the mountains, offering sweeping views of the surrounding landscape.

At the summit, the iconic Golden Bridge awaits, held gracefully by giant stone hands. As you continue exploring, the French Village reveals charming European-style architecture, while Fantasy Park provides a variety of entertaining activities. A visit to Linh Ung Pagoda adds a peaceful spiritual touch to the experience.

Lunch will be served at a shared buffet restaurant, with options including both local and Indian cuisine.
