Signature Vietnam Discovery: 9 Days from South to North

Upon your arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide and comfortably transferred to your hotel. After completing the check-in process according to the hotel’s standard timing (approximately 14:00 – 15:00), you will have a short period at leisure before beginning your city exploration.

In the afternoon, your guide will accompany you on a half-day tour through some of the city’s most iconic landmarks. The journey begins at the Independence Palace, also known as the Reunification Palace, a historic site closely associated with Vietnam’s modern history. From there, you will admire remarkable French colonial architecture, including Notre Dame Cathedral (outside view) and the historic Central Post Office.

The experience continues with a visit to the War Remnants Museum, where extensive exhibits provide insight into the Indochina wars. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Your day begins with a scenic drive of nearly two hours from Ho Chi Minh City to My Tho, passing through lush rice fields and rural landscapes.

Upon arrival, you will embark on a relaxing Mekong River cruise, where life along the riverbanks unfolds before your eyes. As the boat glides past the legendary islands of Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle, and Phoenix, you will experience the vibrant rhythm of the delta.

At Unicorn Island, you will visit a coconut candy workshop, enjoy a peaceful rowing boat ride through natural canals, and taste seasonal tropical fruits while listening to traditional Southern Vietnamese music. The journey continues with a visit to a local bee farm, where you will learn about beekeeping and sample fresh honey.

In the afternoon, let’s return to Ho Chi Minh City, stopping en route to Vinh Trang Pagoda, the largest and most significant pagoda in the Mekong Delta, known for its harmonious blend of Vietnamese, Khmer, and Chinese architectural styles.

In the evening, your private car (no guide) will transfer you to Saigon Port, where you will board the elegant Saigon Princess Cruise. At 19:30, the cruise sets sail along the Saigon River, offering stunning nighttime views of the city skyline. As you enjoy a gourmet dinner featuring both Vietnamese and international cuisine, live music enhances the romantic and sophisticated ambiance.

At 21:30, the cruise returns to the pier, and your private car will transfer you back to your hotel, completing a memorable evening experience.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

You will have free time until your driver (no guide) transfers you to the airport for your flight to Da Nang.

Upon arrival, your guide and driver will welcome you and escort you to your hotel for check-in (subject to standard timing). Meals are in your own arrangement.

At 15:00, your afternoon journey begins with a visit to Marble Mountains. Using the elevator to Thuy Son, you will explore caves, pagodas, and spiritual sites while gaining insight into the region’s religious heritage.

From there, continue to Hoi An Ancient Town. As you wander through its charming streets, you will visit Phuc Kien Pagoda, Phung Hung Ancient House, the Japanese Covered Bridge, and the local museum. The Central Market offers a lively atmosphere filled with local goods and cultural energy.

As evening falls, enjoy a boat ride along the Hoai River and release flower lanterns, a traditional ritual symbolizing wishes for good fortune. The lantern-lit streets create a magical ambiance that defines Hoi An at night.

At around 20:00, return to your hotel.

Overnight in Da Nang.

In the morning, travel from Da Nang to Ba Na Hills (approximately 45 minutes). Upon arrival, a scenic cable car ride takes you to the mountaintop resort, offering panoramic views of mountains and forests.

At the summit, you will visit the iconic Golden Bridge, supported by giant stone hands, and explore the French Village with its charming European architecture. The experience continues with a visit to Fantasy Park, where a variety of attractions await, and Linh Ung Pagoda, which provides a peaceful spiritual atmosphere.

Lunch will be served at a shared buffet restaurant, offering both local and Indian cuisine options.

Return to Da Nang in the afternoon.

Overnight in Da Nang.

The day begins with a journey to Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam.

Your exploration starts at the Imperial Citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that once served as the political and cultural center of the Nguyen Dynasty. As you walk through the Noon Gate, Thai Hoa Palace, and royal courtyards, the grandeur of imperial life becomes vividly apparent.

Continue to Thien Mu Pagoda, the oldest and most iconic pagoda in Hue, located on a hill overlooking the Perfume River. Its seven-story tower stands as a symbol of the city’s spiritual heritage.

In the afternoon, visit the royal tombs of the Nguyen emperors. At Khai Dinh Tomb, admire the unique fusion of Eastern and Western architectural styles, highlighted by intricate mosaics. Then, explore Minh Mang Tomb, known for its harmonious design, reflecting balance, nature, and Confucian philosophy.

Conclude the day at Dong Ba Market, where local culture comes alive through vibrant stalls and regional specialties.

Return to your hotel.

Overnight in Da Nang.

After some free time, your driver will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Hanoi.

Upon arrival, your guide and driver will meet you and escort you to your hotel for check-in.

In the afternoon, begin your exploration with the Ho Chi Minh Complex, including the Mausoleum (outside view), Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s Stilt House, and the One Pillar Pagoda.

Continue to the Old Quarter, where a walking tour allows you to experience the vibrant daily life of Hanoi. Along the way, admire Hoan Kiem Lake, Turtle Tower, and Ngoc Son Temple (outside view).

Return to your hotel.

Overnight in Hanoi.

After breakfast, depart Hanoi by private car for Halong Bay. The journey offers scenic views of the Red River Delta, with lush rice fields and countryside landscapes.

Upon arrival, board your cruise and begin sailing through emerald waters surrounded by towering limestone karsts. During the cruise, you will visit a stunning grotto featuring impressive stalactites and stalagmites.

The remainder of the day is dedicated to relaxation, with meals served onboard and time to enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Spending the night on the cruise adds a unique and memorable dimension to the experience.

Overnight on cruise in Halong Bay.

In the morning, you may choose to relax on deck, sunbathe, or simply admire the breathtaking scenery of Halong Bay.

After brunch onboard at around 11:30, you will disembark and return to Hanoi. Upon arrival, your hotel room will be ready for check-in.

In the evening, enjoy a traditional Water Puppet Show, one of Vietnam’s most unique cultural art forms with a history of over a thousand years.

Your final day is free at leisure until your driver transfers you to the airport for your departure flight.
