Annually, there will be 2 months closing the Mausoleum for the preservation of Ho Chi Minh’s body. It normally ranges from September to November, however, visitors should get the exact schedule from the Mausoleum Management Board. If so, it will not be ideal to visit the Tomb during this time.

The best time we recommend you go to the Mausoleum is from 06:00 AM to 09:30 AM. Although the Ho Chi Minh Tomb does not open at 06:00 AM, you can first admire the stunning view of the Vietnamese flag rising. It is a great chance for you to experience an important tradition of our country, called “Chao Co”.

After that, you can wander Ba Dinh Square to immerse yourself in the fresh and tranquil ambiance of Hanoi during waiting time. From 07:30 AM to 08:00 AM, let’s get a ticket to visit the main areas of the Tomb.

How to Get There

To go to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Hanoi by bus, let’s take note of some bus routes passing by Ba Dinh Square. They include bus numbers 45, 09, 33, 22, and 50. Or else, you can rent a motorbike and ride it here. Remember to park your motorbike in 2 parking spots, one on Ong Ich Khiem Street and another on Ngoc Ha Street.
